Message from President
Billie Araiza
Greetings!

What a great program we had last week! If you missed it, be sure to watch the zoom link in the eblast to learn more about the Girl Scouts of Northern California and how SI Chico will be collaborating with them for our 100 Year Legacy project.

Thank you to Kathy Erickson for hosting our SI Chico After Hours last Thursday. Kathy has made a very generous offer. She will be donating any profit from the orders she receives to our 100 Year Legacy project, so if you have been thinking about purchasing some Tupperware, now is the time! Just look for the link in today’s eblast.

This is also a great time to support our club by participating in our traditional “Christmas in November” internal fundraiser. The online auction is still open so be sure to get your bids in before time runs out. There are some great items up for auction! Thank you to all our club members who graciously donated items for the auction. The link to the online auction is also in this eblast, so be sure to scroll through the entire eblast. Joyce has included lots of important information and links to check out.

Just as a reminder, there won’t be a club meeting Wednesday of Thanksgiving Week. You have the entire week to enjoy your family and friends, while socially distancing.

With Gratitude,

President Billie

We are excited to announce our Bistro Bag fundraiser is now available for purchase! The Bistro Bag is a meal kit prepared with recipes from our very own Soroptimist member, Chef Ann Leon, and will be filled with fresh, local, in-season ingredients for you to prepare a unique at-home culinary meal in your kitchen. The kit will include a step-by-step recipe card and a special YouTube link for a cooking class led by Chef Leon. The meal for our Winter Bistro Bag and cooking class is a Raviolo dinner and will include a brussels sprouts appetizer and a winter green salad. Vegetarian options are available and you get a choice of a 2-serving or 4-serving kit. We also have dessert and wine add-ons for an additional cost. Go to bistrobag.org for more details on the menu and to order your meal kit now – quantities are limited so don’t miss out on our Winter Bistro Bag, available for curbside pick-up on Saturday, December 12th!

WOW – we are thrilled and honored that you were able to respond so quickly and support 50 scholarships for our camp fire survivors and 10 families with direct assistance. We just sent you our 2 yr camp fire update to share the incredible impact we have been able to make with your past support. We can’t wait to report back how we were able to empower women and girls with these new funds. Even with the tough news today we are committed to staying open and providing as many services as we can as we navigate this pandemic.

Stay Safe & Healthy, Rashell

Happy $$$$ are here again

If you just feel happy to be a Soroptimist, send us a small token of your joy, $5 or $10 or $20. Share good news and special moments.

Since we aren’t meeting for lunch these days, you’re saving $16 a week, $48 saved each month. Please consider donating some of those savings back to the club.

We will need help for future in club resources for this year, so please, please give generously.
