2024 Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Service and 2024 Lecturer's Award for Outstanding Service. Nominations open thruogh December 6, 2024.


The Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Service recognizes a Civil Service (clerical/maintenance/grounds or APT) employee for outstanding work performance, service, leadership and/or fostering of excellence in higher education.

The Lecturer's Award for Outstanding Service recognizes the lecturer for outstanding demonstrated work performance, service, leadership and/or the fostering of excellence in higher education.

Honolulu Museum of Art Display



KCC Library invites you to see and touch tools used in an ahupua'a! This collection is on loan from the Honolulu Museum of Art and will be on display from November 14-December 12.

Nursing Scholarship Recipients



Mahalo nui loa to the Mokihana Club who allocated $20,000 this year to Kaua’i Community College Nursing students! The club has supported this program since 2003, and over that time has provided $317,400 to 222 students. This year they reviewed 23 applications from students and decided to award the allocated $20,000 to 18 first and second year students.


The Club also offered $10,000 in scholarships to Kaua’i students who have entered the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program offered by the University of Hawai’i as a Distance Learning Program.

Kauaʻi Pride Scholarships



Kauaʻi Pride Parade & Festival promotes and celebrates peace, acceptance, and unity for everyone on our island, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, or background. 


This award is open to anyone regardless of gender, sex, or orientation, including allies of LGBTQIA2s+ communities. Applicants should demonstrate a strong connection to the LGBTQIA2s+ community.



Application deadline is April 30, 2025, and awardees will be announced on June 7, 2025.

Auditions for Spring Performance


Greg Shepherd of the Music and Drama Department at Kaua'i Community College will be holding ongoing auditions for the Spring 2025 production of “The Fantasticks,” one of the longest-running musicals in Broadway history.


Performances will be held in May in the KCC Performing Arts Center. Auditions are in progress. Contact Greg by phone or email to schedule your audition or for more information.

This concert features Shakuhachi Grand Master Riley Lee, Taiko Drum Master Kenny Endo and Slack Key Guitar virtuoso Jeff Peterson.



Tickets are $50 general admission, $30 for senior citizens age 65+, and $15 for college students. Tickets are available online by clicking the button or tickets may be purchased at the box office on the night of the performance. Children and Youth 17 years and younger are FREE.

'Ohana Fun Day

Celebrating 20 year reunion with Kaua'i High School c/o 2004! The 'Ohana Fun Day is a free family event on 12/7/2024 from 12pm - 7 p.m. on the Kaua'i County Lawn featuring keiki rides, food trucks and vendors!



Moanike'ala Furtado


Moani started in November as the Office Assistant in Student Affairs. Before Kaua’i CC, she worked at the Kaua’i Marriott Resort and Beach club as a Concierge for many years and then was employed by Timber’s Resorts after the pandemic as a Facilities Coordinator. She is a Kaua’i born native from the east side of the island, and graduated from Kapa’a High School (Go Warriors). Moani studied at UNLV and Kapi’olani CC Majoring in Hospitality and Tourism. She will be assisting the Student Counseling Office/Counselors, Library, & Hale Mālama. She is excited to be here on campus and looks forward to working alongside all of you.
