In their workshop, Jane and Perri will start with an overview of functional subgrouping–-a technique that helps people work through their differences by deep listening, reflecting, and joining others where they are.
Throughout their workshop, participants will practice functional subgrouping techniques followed by discussions. Together you’ll explore how to apply these methods in mediation settings. Time will be allotted for questions.
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
- Be able to define the basic methodology of functional subgrouping.
- Be able to delineate between a similarity and a difference in the context of functional subgrouping.
- Learn how to introduce a difference when using functional subgrouping.
- Apply the techniques to mediation contexts.
