Dear Friend,
Today we are filled with gratitude as we celebrate each and every volunteer and donor who supported CASA Lake County in 2023.

Through sharing your time or generosity, and often both -- you enabled CASA to serve nearly every youth in Lake County who experienced abuse or neglect and helped them on their paths to safe, permanent homes.

We are so grateful for your commitment to these young people who deserve a chance at a brighter, happier future.

Thanks to you, more children, youth, and families will be supported through difficult times, and more Lake County children will have the opportunity to thrive.

On behalf of our staff and Board, thank you for your commitment to our mission. We could not do it without you.
With gratitude,
Your support makes an impact

Thank You to Elizabeth and Brian Coughlin
We’d like to give a shout out to our volunteer advocates Elizabeth and Brian, who -- for the past four years -- have hosted an annual end of summer pig roast with their friends and family where they raise funds for CASA Lake County. This year they raised nearly $2,000! Thank you so much Elizabeth and Brian, for all the ways that you both support CASA Lake County and our community!
Save the date for #GivingTuesday!
On November 28, 2023, people all around the world are coming together to tap into the power of human connection and strengthen communities. Will you be one of them?

CASA Lake County will be participating in GivingTuesday and we need your help!
By joining the GivingTuesday movement, you’re proving that in times of uncertainty, generosity can bring the whole world together.

Keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks to learn how you can help. Let’s rally together to strengthen our community!
Kudos for Some Amazing CASA Volunteers!
To CASA Andrea for her excellent advocacy for her young CASA girl who has speech issues most likely due to her trauma and abuse. Andrea researched and found a series of books recommended by a speech therapist which her child’s caregiver can use to help this little girl communicate more easily in light of her challenges.
To CASA Dawn who has traveled between six different placements with her CASA children. The children remain in different homes and Dawn has navigated each transition. She remains actively involved with the children and their schools, remains in regular communication with the caseworker, remembers each child’s birthday, and continues to be available for the foster parents.
To CASA Emily for the amazing, supportive relationship she has built with her CASA child. Emily is consistent with visits and contacts with her CASA child, she utilizes active listening skills when she is with him, and she is creative in engaging him in activities and conversations. At a recent visit, as Emily was about to leave the foster home, her CASA child hugged her and said “I miss you already.”
