$120 LIFT TICKET REQUIRED

AOA Registration
It is mandatory that your athletes are registered with the AOA.

Volunteering 15 Hours & Cheque

Each family is required to volunteer a MINIMUM of 15 hours per ski season and provide a $500 cheque. Once your family’s volunteer hours have been completed, your cheque will be destroyed.

Please send your cheque in before the ski season to:

Glacier Ski Club
1477 Old Forest Road
Pickering ON, L1V 1N8

Your racer will not be able to ski if your volunteer cheque is not received by January 7, 2023, but hopefully long before that date.

Volunteer Training

We will be holding parent/volunteer training during the winter break on various jobs such as gate judging, course crew, timing, registration, and b-net. We will be providing training either virtually or onsite, depending on the role. Watch for upcoming dates and spend some time meeting new people and learning new skills.
Coaching Courses

There are Entry Level and Development Level courses now available to sign up for on the AOA website.

Officials Courses

We encourage all parents to take an officials course.

Level 1 Course: Introductory roles in Alpine Ski Racing
  • This is an entry-level course.
  • It is a general introduction to race organization and the various Official positions with particular emphasis on timekeeping and gate judging.
  • Having qualified people in these positions enables Glacier to host races at MSLM and will help you to complete your volunteer hours in a variety of positions.

If you are already a Level I or Level II AOA official, please do not forget to register for your 2022/2023 official update. These updates are complimentary and will be delivered by AOA on December 4 and December 12, 2022 as well as January 5, 2023.

Glacier will be holding training sessions the week of December 12.

Glacier is hiring coaches! We would like to extend an offer for parents at Glacier to take their Entry Level coaching so they can coach U8 or U10.
