MAS Water Damage Update
10th-12th grade
We have had experts and construction crews on site all week working to make repairs and also to assess the situation. The fact of the matter is that we have significant damages to our building. It is structurally sound, but almost every single room in our high school sustained damage. We have had crews of over 100 people working day in and day out to remove drywall, carpeting, etc. to dry out the spaces and begin repairs. Starting yesterday, we welcomed back our 8th graders onto the "old" side of the middle school and our 9th grade into 2 available classrooms and converted the gymnasium to classrooms. We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation.
In the last two days, it has become clear that we will not be able to fully return to normal operations in our high school for several weeks. We will be setting up a temporary alternative location for our high school and we are working to finalize those details so we can inform you as soon as possible. We aim to have our 10th-12th graders back in session by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, but they will not be returning Monday. Please stay tuned for details. We are working as fast as we can to respond to this situation and create a solution that will work for everyone.
