November 1, 2024 Weekly News

Reminder: Today, Friday, November 1, is the Feast of All Saints. Masses will be at Noon and 5:30 pm.

Dear Parishioners,

During Mass this month, you have heard me speaking about and praying for the success of the archdiocesan fund drive known as the "Catholic Services Appeal." If you have not made up your mind whether to participate or about how much to give, I suggest you click on the video link below and watch the five-minute YouTube with Archbishop Fabre describing the appeal.

This fund drive does so much to support the work of the Catholic Church in central Kentucky. The Cathedral parish's goals for this fund drive are for 161 households to contribute a total of $115,000. I am especially interested in have us reach the participation goal. Perhaps the monetary goal is a stretch, but it would seem easy to get at least 161 member households to participate in some way, no matter the size of the gift.

Thank you for reading this note and for considering participation.

Sincerely,

Fr. Fred Klotter

The October 26 meeting of the Cathedral Garden Club was a "clean sweep" of the Garden of Benevolence.

Father Klotter stopped by to check on progress and we even received an impromptu talk from Tim Tomes, where he shared an interesting history of the location of the Cathedral Cornerstone.
