Dear Friends,

A heartfelt thanks to to all the mentors, families, and young people who helped make our All Saints' Sunday and confirmation weekend so phenomenal. A huge shoutout to our teens who spoke at the rehearsal dinner: Maddie Coleman, Liz Calabria, Paul Frilingos, Margaret Pope, Drew Gossett, and Marissa Brown -- as well as our readers, prayer leaders, acolytes, interactive sermon participants, staff, lay leaders, and musicians who contributed to the weekend.

As I mentioned at the dinner, it was so meaningful to see the long list of names of the dead on Sunday morning, joined with the long list of names being confirmed Sunday evening. None of us know when our name will move from the list of saints on earth to the list of saints in heaven. Our task in the meantime is to orient our lives towards the things that really matter in life.

Our youth so eloquently and earnestly gave voice to what it means to live a life in Christ this past weekend, and I am so grateful for their witness. Our parish is so much richer because of our young people. Together we are the church. Thanks to the saints of all ages who contribute to this wonderful village of faith!
