LIFE IS GOOD HERE!
Yes, life is good here at MCS!  It's also good in the Pacific Northwest - hence the theme of this year's auction:  "Life is Good Here - Celebrating the Best of the Pacific Northwest." Our focus for the auction will be local - as in Washington and the PNW - and it's going to be great!  Each family has received an auction packet with a letter of explanation, as well as a letter to give to businesses you visit and an auction procurement form.  NOW is the time during this season of giving to ask people/companies you know for a donation.  Many businesses will appreciate a tax deduction before year-end.  We have a supply of letters and forms in the office, so feel free to get as many as you'd like!
YOFORIT NIGHT
Tuesday night is Yoforit Night!  All sales between 5 pm - 8 pm on November 13th will directly support our school.  However families can go there right after school to get a frozen treat, and if you let the staff know you are there on behalf of MCS, then those sales will get added to the final total.  Thank you for supporting this event!
THE NUTCRACKER FIELD TRIP
We are thrilled to have the opportunity for Kindergarten-8th grade students to attend Olympic Ballet's version of The Nutcracker on December 13th.  A permission slip went home last week.  If you did not see yours, we have more in the office.  Please return the bottom of the permission slip and $10 per student/driver to the office by this Friday, November 16.
DONUT DAY
Donuts will be available for purchase at the round-about during drop-off on November 19th.  The donuts will be from Henry's Donuts and can be purchased for $1 each.
MCS APPAREL
MCS Apparel can be ordered through the following link from now until November 26th:

Brian VandenHeuvel will be at the school around drop-off time on the 19th if anyone would like assistance ordering.

LOAN NEEDED FOR CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
Needed:  Approximately 100 battery-powered candlesticks, about 4 inches high, white, with a fake flame on top.  Perhaps your church has a supply they could loan us?  Please contact Mrs. Rodriguez (rose.rodriguez@monroechristian.org) with questions or if you can help with this.  Thank you!

PIZZA DAY
This Friday, November 16th, is Pizza Day.

The cost is $4.00 for one slice of cheese or pepperoni plus Capri Sun and a treat or $6.00 for two slices.  Individual payments will go directly to the teacher. Please bring in-full payments to the office.  If you would like to pay in full for the remainder of the school year please refer to the following information:

14 pizza lunches (1 slice) - $56.00
14 pizza lunches (2 slices) - $84.00
THANKSGIVING FEAST HELPERS NEEDED
Sara Peterson is in need of 3 more volunteers to help with the feast.  She needs two people starting at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 20, and one person starting at 11:30 (or a little before).  Work will last until about 12:30 or so.  We will be holding the feast for the students at New Hope Fellowship this year.  If you can help, please contact Mindy (secretary@monroechristian.org).  First come, first gets to serve!

Remember to send $3.50 per K-8th student to the office (no checks under $5.00 please).  Thank you!
