Emergency System Test
In the event of a school delay, cancellation, or in the unlikely case of an emergency, Crossroads uses a system called "Bright Arrow" to simultaneously contact all parents and staff with a recorded voice message, text, and email. We will conduct a test of our school announcement system on Thursday, November 18.
Cracking Kids' Secret Code
We invite you to attend a workshop with Dr. Chris Thurber on Thursday, November 18 at 6:30 p.m. to learn new ways to:

  • Build stronger connections with children.
  • Decode subtext of what young people say.
  • Empathize with underlying emotions.
  • Level up communication skills.
  • Build the kind of trust and respect that makes kids want to listen and follow directions.
CAPA Business Meeting
Join us on Monday, November 22 at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom as we discuss CAPA's new operational and financial structure, upcoming events, and a brainstorming session for future activities. Remember: all parents are valued members of the Crossroads Academy Parent Association.
Upcoming Service Opportunities
K-2 CAPA Service Project

On Wednesday, November 17, K-2 families are invited to meet from 2:00-3:00 p.m. to create toiletry kits for the Upper Valley Haven and write Thanksgiving cards for residents of the Grafton County Nursing Home. Read More

Stuff-a-Truck

On Friday, November 19, the second grade class will be collecting gently-used outgrown coats, jackets, snowsuits, or nearly-new gloves, mittens, and hats for the Upper Valley Haven. Many local families can be helped as the cold weather arrives by receiving these outgrown items.

Haven Food Drive

Beginning Monday, November 29, the sixth grade class will begin collection food items for holiday meals for the Upper Valley Haven. Sixth grade student Anji says, "Our virtues for the month are gratitude and stewardship, so we are expressing gratitude by donating non-perishables to the Haven. Things like canned veggies, beans, pie ingredients, pasta, and potatoes are most welcome. They are also asking for special things for this season including hot chocolate, marshmallows, pie crust, gravy, and stuffing." Donations are due by December 10. Please leave your donations in the collection buckets by the building entrances.
STEM Certificate at Crossroads
The New Hampshire Academy of Science (NHAS) and Crossroads Academy have implemented a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Certification to acknowledge Crossroads’ students achievements in STEM. Students completing the NHAS and Crossroads requirements to earn a STEM Certificate will receive recognition at their eighth grade graduation, and documentation on their transcript.
CAPA Alumni Spotlight

My Crossroads education provided me with a deep curiosity for the world, and inspired me to love research and writing. In addition, I think the Core Virtues curriculum and the thoughtful, respectful, and kind community at Crossroads gave me invaluable interpersonal skills and a strong moral compass which have continued to stay with me.
