GIVE BIG PITTSBURGH
December 1, 2020
Save the date!
Give Big Pittsburgh is about giving back to our community.
Eden Christian Academy is proud to help spread the word to support Urban Impact Foundation on Give Big Pittsburgh's day of giving on December 1.
Founded in 1995 by Pastor Ed Glover, Urban Impact Foundation in Pittsburgh addresses the profound and unique challenges facing today’s urban communities through holistic development of the mind, body, and spirit through Christ– one person, one family, one block at a time.
Together, we can help make an impact in the lives of people in our community.
Watch for more details on social media and in next week's update.

Dear Parents,
Last week I wrote to you about the mind blowing reality that we are invited to participate in Christ's reconciliation of all of Creation to Himself. Coming full circle, in Christ, we are restored to our original calling that I wrote to you about in my first newsletter this year. In Christ, it is once again possible to assume our vocation given to our original parents in the Garden of Eden, of creating culture and cultivating creation. In addition to this, because of the impact of our sin in the Fall, which we looked at a couple of weeks ago, we are not just called to care for Creation and fill what is missing, but we must also fix what is broken. We have to help put the house back in order. And this too is part of Christ's reconciliation of all things to Himself.
And of course, we must proclaim this good news of the gospel. So now as Christ reigns our calling is both filling what is missing and fixing what is broken. Fortunately, we are not on our own. Jesus has given us the Holy Spirit, the same power whereby God raised Him from the dead, to fulfill this calling.
Where do we fulfill this calling?
Right where you are. At home. At work. At school. With your families and your friends. As bearers of God’s image we grow in conformity to the image of Christ in the places that God has placed us. By the power of the Holy Spirit our homes are schools for the ministry of reconciliation – beginning with our own reconciliation to Christ in repentance, to one another in habitually restored relationships, and to his Creation with a vision for the cultivation of culture and care for the created order.
While the arc of history is the story of Jesus, He invites us to be a part of his story as He makes all things new.
Thank you for your engagement in our life together.
In Christ,
Mrs. MJ Botula
Interim Principal Berkeley Hills

ANNUAL THANKSGIVING FEAST & MEAL DONATION
Grades Kindergarten - 12
Student Meal November 20
Order Deadline November 17
Our annual Thanksgiving luncheon is specially prepared for us by Medure's Catering and has become an Eden favorite.
This delicious lunch will be served on November 20 at each campus and includes turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, yams, buttered green beans, stuffing, a dinner roll, one carton of milk, and dessert. The cost is $7.00 per meal.
Again this year, you also have the opportunity to purchase a meal that will be donated to the Light of Life Rescue Mission. And, your blessing to those in need will be multiplied -- every donated meal will be generously matched by Medure's catering. So, when you donate one meal, it becomes two! If Eden families donate 500 meals, Medure's will make it 1,000. Last year, the Eden Family and Medure's donated over 3,400 meals to help the homeless in the city of Pittsburgh.
