  • December 11: Records day - NO SCHOOL

This Friday, November 20th we will hold our annual Thanksgiving Feast. We ask that parents provide $4.00 per student to help cover the cost of the meal. If you haven't already done so, please try to provide this prior to Friday's feast. In order to comply with the regulations, each plate will be individually packaged and served in the classrooms rather than at the church as it has been in years past.

Our thanks go to Sultan Red Apple, Sara Peterson, and other parent volunteers for the their help and support with this wonderful event!

The poinsettias are scheduled to arrive this Friday, November 20th. We will do our best to make sure everyone gets their plants in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. If you're available to help us hand out these beautiful plants on Friday, please contact the school at 360-794-8200.
Once the plants arrive, we will send out a notification and if you are able to come by the school prior to 2:30pm to collect your plants, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Parent / Teacher Conferences are Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24. An email with your scheduled conference time has been sent. Please make sure to confirm your conference time by replying to the email. If you did not receive an email yet, please contact Dena Bobinger at or call 360-794-8200.

Please use the following link to download or print a copy of the 2020-2021 School Calendar.

*NOTE There is school on Monday, November 30th!

As we continue to comply with the new regulations for this school year, we are having to keep the windows in the classrooms open. This means there are times it may feel a bit chilly. Just a reminder to please dress your children in layers so they can easily adjust to the varied temperatures inside. Also remember a warm coat, hat, ect. for outside recess and PE.

We are actively looking for a third grade teacher and substitute teachers. If you know someone who would be interested in either of these opportunities please contact Elaine Obbink at

We will continue taking temperatures before the children leave your cars. We will also be asking about the following symptoms.

  • Temperatures must be below 100.2 without the use of a fever reducing medication.
  • coughing
  • shortness of breath
  • headache
  • sore throat
  • muscle or body aches
  • loss of taste or smell
  • congestion
  • nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

The Moms in Prayer group is now meeting every Monday at 9am in the MCS library. This group provides a good way for moms to connect with other moms, support each other, and most importantly pray together. This is a very open and welcoming group. Feel free to share as much or as little as you would like, ask for prayers, or simply sit with us to enjoy the love and support of other moms in the same stage of life.

We understand schedule constraints so please feel free to come when you are able.
We look forward to meeting you and praying with you!

MATCHING CONTRIBUTIONS: Does the company you work for (Boeing, Microsoft, etc.) match contributions you make to a non-profit company? Take a moment to find out. When you donate money to the school for a fundraiser or any other reason, follow your company's system to record it and designate MCS to receive matching funds! (If someone you know works at a participating company, they can also designate MCS!)

Our scripture theme for this year is based on Hebrews 11:1-3
"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible."
