TheDayspring Preschool & Kindergarten's Holiday Boutique is back for its 37th year! Get your holiday shopping finished early with more than 50 local artisans and craftspeople, enjoy a sweet treat from Sassy's bakery, and support our preschool's primary fundraiser! This helps the school pay for things that are outside of the operating budget (including financial aid, playground equipment, professional development for teachers, books for the library, and much more!) Free admission both days.

The 2022/23 Borderlands Produce Rescue season at our Dayspring Arcadia campus kicks off Saturday, November 19th Volunteers are needed to help pack boxes of fresh, rescued produce to share with local families, direct traffic, and load trunks! Email Amy to volunteer for the morning, 6am - 11am (or any part of that window!) 

A memorial service for longtime Dayspring member Barbara Hall will be held on Saturday, November 19 at 1:00pm in Skirm Auditorium at Friendship Village (2645 E. Southern Ave., Tempe). Please keep her husband, Bob, her family, and friends in your prayers.

Our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive is Sunday, November 20 from 8:30-noon. All collected food will be donated to the United Food Bank in Mesa. We will once again have a refrigerated truck to collect frozen turkeys as well as non-perishable food items, including canned beans, peanut butter, pasta, canned meats, canned fruits and veggies, and rice. We also accept cash donations that will be donated to United Food Bank so they can purchase fresh produce, meat, and dairy. 

All are welcome to join in the next Labyrinth event this Sunday, November 20, from 9am until noon. The theme for walking will be gratitude. The Labyrinth is open to you whenever the church is open! Please come to this experience, with whatever is on your mind, ready to open to God and spend one-on-one time with our Creator.

All young adults are invited to join a new Bible Study with Pastors Shirley and Jeff on Sunday mornings at 11:45am in Room 112 (or the courtyard, weather permitting), starting this Sunday, November 20. Please email Pastor Jeff with questions.

We are excited to host the annual Tempe Interfaith Thanksgiving Service at Dayspring Tempe on Tuesday, November 22 at 7pm. The service, which brings together people from a variety of faith traditions across the valley to our campus, will be in-person as well as live-streamed on our usual channels. This will be a beautiful way to welcome the holiday season and celebrate our creator in an open and diverse community! Also, a “pick-up” choir directed by David Schildkret will rehearse at 6pm — all are welcome!

The Dayspring sanctuary is made even more magnificent during the season of Advent. Our Christmas tree, wreaths, and Advent candles set a festive tone. Your help is needed to put all of the decorations in place. Nothing gets you in the spirit like decorating a church for Christmas!! Help us Deck our Halls on Saturday, November 26 at 10:00am. Dayspring Arcadia is home to a great collection of nativity scenes from around the world. You are invited to help set up our Advent 2022 Nativity display next Sunday, November 27th after the 11am Sunday service. Bring a lunch/brunch item to share as we work together to decorate for Christmas if you can. Please sign up HERE if you can make it!

This year we will offer several weekly small groups during the Advent season using the book Silence and Other Surprising Invitations of Advent by Enuma Okoro. Small groups begin the First Sunday in Advent, November 27, meeting on Sundays at 8:00am at Dayspring Tempe and 9:45am at Dayspring Arcadia; Mondays at 5:30pm on Zoom; and Thursdays at 10am at Friendship Village. Please email the church office to register.

Kick off the Christmas season on Sunday, December 4 at 4pm with a family-friendly concert, children's activities, pictures with Santa, cookie contest, chili dinner and more! Please bring a non-perishable food item for Tempe Community Action Agency. Donations to support the music program are appreciated.

Celebrate with Earth-Friendly Holidays!

As we prepare for the coming Advent season, have you thought about ways to practice hope, peace, love, and joy for our sacred earth by adopting one or two new eco-friendly traditions? A google search on eco-friendly holidays will give you some ideas to explore.
