Announcement of Rev. Alison Robuck as

Settled Executive Regional Minister

The Regional Board is pleased to announce Rev. Alison Robuck as our new Settled Executive Regional Minister of the Great River Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Although there were other great candidates, the SERM team felt led to recommend Rev. Robuck, recognizing the gift she brings to this role.

Following Dr. Burton's departure, Alison stepped in immediately, learning many new systems and providing steady, caring leadership during a pivotal moment for our region. Her willingness to jump in headfirst and serve has already strengthened our shared ministry and demonstrated her deep commitment to the life of the Great River Region.

We extend a special and heartfelt thank you to our SERM Team, who dedicated their time and energy to gathering information, interviewing candidates, and guiding this important process with prayerful discernment and wisdom. Thank you: Rev. Dr. Thad Allen, Rev. DC Sills, Rev. Donna Rountree, Norweida Spencer, Rev. Jay Hoyt, Lucretia Woods, Carol Byrnes, and Rev. Ellis Robinson.

We invite you to join us in welcoming Rev. Alison Robuck into this new chapter of leadership. God is doing a new thing!

Our Fall Fandango youth explored how to live a life UNASHAMED this weekend! Rev. Zena Featherston-Marshall led us in a wonderful keynote opportunity of exploring Galatians. We discovered who Paul was, we completed a spiritual gifts inventory to discover who we are, and we dreamed of who we can be together if we allow ourselves to be used by God. We are grateful for the opportunities to gather 47 youth and adult sponsors for such a meaningful event. We want to give a special thanks to our Director, Rev. Mark Dingler. Our Youth Commission worked diligently to plan the event. Khonrad Bales, Betty Arambel, Chrys Beckley, and Alisha Pettigrew-Gourley volunteered their time on Tuesday evenings for months to make the event a success. Galatians 6:9 "So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time if we do not give up."
