The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce held their 75th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, November 17th at the Salem Golf Club. The honorees were:
Outstanding Citizen of the Year-Shane Franks
Large Business of the Year-Salem Giant Eagle
Small Business of the Year-Salem Computer Center
Non-Profit of the Year-Salvation Army Salem Corps.

The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce and the Salem News is sponsoring the Salem Christmas Parade with the theme “Making Spirits Bright” on Thursday, December 2nd at 6:30. The parade route will start at the Salem Senior High School to Lincoln to State then Ellsworth, ending on Second Street. Light Up Night will be held on the front lawn of Salem City Hall immediately following the Christmas Parade. Prizes will be awarded for best commercial, best religious, and best Non-profit floats. Please contact the Chamber for applications at 330-337-3473 or Deadline for applications is November 26th.
The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is announcing the new Chamber Gallery. This gallery will provide local artists and their work a month-long showcase using their building as a gallery for 2-Dimensional art. Each artist will be provided a reception and basic show publicity through press releases and social media. With the announcement of the new gallery, the Salem Chamber announces its 2022 Call for Artists. Artists interested in being part of the inaugural roster of artists should complete an Application for Exhibition. The deadline to apply is Nov. 30, 2021. The first solo exhibition will be hung and ready for viewing Jan. 3, 2022.

The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee awarded the final 2021 Yard of the Month to Mike and Jody Adams of 833 Washington.
