GETTING READY FOR THE ALL-NEW SNOWFLAKE FESTIVAL

Bake Table Ideas from Susan Beckett

  • Cookies - we will likely repackage into 1/2 dozen and dozen packs. You may bring in your container (be sure your name is on it.) Include information about ingredients, like nuts. Biscotti is great, love the Spritz cookies in a jar (I have jars - ask ahead of time.)
  • Brownies and Bars are very popular - we will likely repackage.
  • Breads - prefer chocolate or cinnamon or banana. Some zucchini is okay, but not too many. Coffee cakes are great.
  • Cakes - Please limit to specialty cakes - like German Chocolate, Pineapple Upside Down, Carrot, etc. and smaller cakes, like 8-9 inch square or round.

If you have a favorite baked good you would like to bring, please let me know.

PLEASE have everything there Friday between noon and 6 pm. We are very busy on Saturday morning, and it is challenging to have items come in during the fair.

“Corner Sweet Spot’ Ideas from Deb Bailey

All candy, including fudge, peppermint bark, lollipops, stained glass, etc. and honey, jams, jellies, relishes, pickles, etc. will be a part of the Country Store, a new table this year.

If you are making any of the items listed or others, and would like to share, I would be very grateful and proud to add to the “Sweet Spots” offerings.

PLEASE call me (781-659-2482) so I can plan. I will have bags or containers to

use.

Silent Auction ideas from Christine Walker and Harriet Loring

The Snowflake Festival is fast approaching and the Silent Auction chairs have a request. We are asking you to consider buying and donating a gift card/certificate from your favorite restaurant or business, offering a service or a skill, or giving a new or collectible item that you don’t need anymore. The items will be put in our new table, the Country Store. The value of the item will be the sale price.

There will be no bidding as there is in Silent Auction. Silent Auction will only contain gift cards and certificates. Speak to or call, Harriet Loring, 781-659-7656, hloring.cfrary@verizon.net if you can help with a donation. If possible, give the value of the item or service. Thank you for considering these requests. We appreciate all that our members do to make the auction a success.

FAITH & FELLOWSHIP

JOIN US AFTER WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY!

Please join us as we create new decorations for the Church during the Advent season! On November 20th during coffee hour we will make Chrismon Ornaments for the Church Christmas tree. During our time together, Sabrina will share information about what Chrismons are and what the different ones symbolize. After creating the ornaments we will head over to the church to prepare the sanctuary for Advent. One of the ways we would like to decorate the Church this year is having members of the congregation bring in a small nativity to place in each of the windows. If you are able to bring one in, please sign up here!
