Hope WIFI Change

In an effort to better protect our church's internet privacy, we have updated our WIFI password at both Hope Central Campus and Hope Lake Weir Campus.

WIFI is now password protected at both locations. In order to use the church WIFI, you will need the password.

The WIFI password is available on signs at both Hope campuses. Look for the signs around the church offices. Hope at Everglades will not be affected.

If you need help connecting to the internet, please ask a Hope employee for assistance.

Cantata Volunteers Needed

16-9ChristmasAllYearLong Hires.jpg

We are seeking volunteers for our Christmas Cantata! Ushers are needed to help safely and warmly show guests to their seats. We specifically need volunteers for the Sunday 6:00pm showtime.

The best part? Ushers do not need Cantata tickets! You'll be able to enjoy the show free of charge from the usher seats.

If you are interested in helping, please call Sara Lush at the church office at (352) 750-2321 or via email at [email protected].

Have You Turned in Your Giving Plan Card for 2022?

Disciples’ Faith Grows!

It’s not too late to turn in your giving plan card! We are moving forward towards our goal for Disciples’ Faith Grows. There are giving plan cards available at all 3 sites as well as online at Hope4all.church. With your help we can reach our goal. Sharing our faith in our congregation, our community and even further relies on the commitment made by each and every one of us. By completing a giving plan card we are able to accurately plan for the upcoming year.

Thank you to everyone who has already turned in their giving plan cards for 2022! We appreciate your participation in our stewardship drive as our faith grows as disciples and we share our Mission – To know Christ and to make Christ known.

A Thank You from the Food Pantry

Thank you to everyone who has made a special donation to the Hope Lake Weir Campus Food Pantry for Thanksgiving! Because of your generosity, we were able to serve 150 families by providing both groceries and turkey dinners.

We are so grateful for the donations and volunteers that helped make this possible. We want to give a special thank you to Green Key Village for providing the side dishes for the turkey dinners.

Thank you all!

Have You Changed Your Online Giving?

If you donate online and have recently changed your pledge amount, you will need to update your online giving account.

The system does not automatically update and our church office does not update your private giving information. You will need to make changes manually.

If you need help updating your online giving, or if you have any questions about online giving, please contact Bob Franceski at [email protected].

Important Newsletter Updates and Guidelines

Hope is pleased to announce that we will begin offering a limited number of physical copies of The News in the Pews for those individuals who do not own a computer or smartphone, beginning December 4th and 5th. These physical copies will be available at the church office during the week on a first come, first served basis.

In order to accommodate this change, we have updated our newsletter article submission guidelines. All team leaders and ministry communicators are responsible for reading and understanding the guidelines.

  1. All newsletter articles must be submitted at least one week in advance of your preferred publication date. The Digital News in the Pews is published on Fridays; therefore, all newsletter submissions are due by the end of the day on the Friday before publication.
  2. All newsletter articles may run up to two consecutive weeks.
  3. Newsletter articles may be no more than 200 words. We would be pleased to help you edit your article if you need assistance.
  4. Please submit all newsletter articles through our newsletter submission form on our website. You can find it by clicking the button below.

Additionally, as the holiday season begins, we know our ministry teams have lots of requests for printed materials. To help us serve you efficiently, here are some updated guidelines for having materials printed in the office:

  1. Please submit any copy requests at least 7 days in advance.
  2. Please submit all work requests through our work request form on our website. You can find it by clicking the button below.

If you have any questions or need help navigating these new guidelines, please contact Loretta Franceski at [email protected] or Marina Ernst at [email protected].

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Thank you to all who participated in the Prayer Shawl Ministry throughout the past difficult 18 months. You produced a large number of prayer shawls, especially for the upcoming Blue Christmas service, as well as hundreds of the pocket prayer patches for the Angel Tree project! You are a blessing to many! Our next meeting is not until the first Monday in February, so there is time to replenish our supply of gifts.

Prayer Shawls and Lap Robes are available at all Hope campuses; you can find them in the Information Hallway at Hope Central Campus, in the Narthex at hope Lake Weir Campus, and at Hope at the Everglades Rec Center.

If you have a family member, friend, or neighbor who is in need of comfort and assurance they are not alone, please take one for them. You will find it to be a very gratifying experience as you share love and hope with those in need.
