Her Voice Toolkit: Civic Engagement & Civil Discourse |
How do you ensure all student voices are heard and incorporated into classroom discussions? How do you create an environment where differences are respected and understood? How do you engage and lead students in civil discourse during political conversations? Our new Her Voice Toolkit on Civic Engagement & Civil Discourse will aid educators as they help young women develop and exercise their political voices. Use the research and resources not only to engage students in the classroom, but to inspire families to select an all-girls school, educate the community about the outcomes of all-girls schools, and inform the media that girls schools are more relevant today than ever before.

Produced by NCGS, PEP Talks: Podcast on Educational Possibilities brings together experts in the education and healthy development of girls and young women to discuss best practices in educating and empowering girls. In our new episode, we speak with New York Times bestselling author Rachel Simmons about her latest research featured in her book, Enough As She Is: How to Help Girls Move Beyond Impossible Standards of Success to Live Healthy, Happy, and Fulfilling Lives. In the book, Rachel explores how to teach girls self-compassion as an alternative to self-criticism, as well as how to manage overthinking, resist the constant urge to compare themselves to peers, take healthy risks, navigate toxic elements of social media, prioritize self-care, and seek support when they need it.
