Rob Messick, Principal, Piqua High School said, “We work hard to expose our student’s to careers in our area. In recent years, we created programs in nursing, engineering, mechatronics and digital arts. Now, we are equally excited to launch an Aviation-Drone program. It was a natural fit for one of our business partner - Hartzell Propeller, as well as Piqua's proximity to other aviation industries in the greater Dayton area.”
“Pilot safety, education and training are vital to the aviation industry’s success. The Piqua High School Aviation-Drone program is an innovative way to generate exposure to aviation, and encourage students to pursue careers in the broader aerospace sector. Given all the businesses in the Dayton area specializing in this industry, including Hartzell Propeller in Piqua, it seems like a great fit. We are excited to see how this program can help strengthen the local workforce and inspire students to develop a passion for aviation,” said J.J. Frigge,President, Hartzell Propeller, Inc. .
