       Fall Leaf Collection

The Department of Public Works needs your cooperation.  Please do not park vehicles in such a manner as to block the leaf piles.  Our vehicles need room to maneuver.  Also, please remove any play equipment from the roadway or near the piles.  If we cannot get to the leaf piles, we will not be able to pick them up.  The patience and cooperation of residents is appreciated as we will make every effort to pick up the fallen leaves as quickly and thoroughly as possible.

Leaves can also be placed out at the curb in biodegradable paper bags or rigid containers for collection on Mondays by the contracted disposal company through the last Monday in December.

A Message from Our Fire Safety Bureau

Helping to Keep You Safe!

It is leaf season, and we should be aware of the following:

*  Do not park your vehicle over leaves, the hot exhaust can catch them on fire causing your car to burn

*  Do not drive over leaves, you do not know what may be under them

*  Watch your muffler on the lawn mower; leaves can catch fire if they come in contact with a hot exhaust

*  Do not pile leaves in front of a fire hydrant, it could be the one needed to help you!

Pequannock Police Department

On Wednesday, November 5th, The Pequannock Township Police Department in conjunction with the Pequannock School district, Municipal Alliance Committee and the Morris County Prosecutor's Office presented an eye-opening lecture on heroin. Detective Supervisor Mark Castellano, presented a factual and experience based lecture that captivated both parents and students alike. Det. Castellano spoke about his 16 years in law enforcement and the devastation he has seen this drug cause. He discussed the harmful effects of heroin and what signs parents should look for in their children.  The Pequannock Twp. Police Department Thanks the Morris County Prosecutor's Office for their assistance and hopes that it made a difference to the community members and children who attended.
