With each new painting there are levels of vision imagined. Sometimes it starts out as splash of paint on the canvas with hopes of a whimsical offering to the art gods. Some days the paint brush is on fire and the paint is the kindling, with strokes of liberation and ease. Other days there's hesitation and broken contours as nothing seems to make sense.
This painting is called
Chasm as it reveals the depths of an unpredictable vision. The paint appears to move from side to side, flowing with ease, and yet there are canyons obstructing the view of simplicity.
These undulating engagements are expressions of art in its finest form.
