National NP Week: Nov. 13-19th!

Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley signs a proclamation for Nurse Practitioners week at the state Capitol in Montgomery, Ala, Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016.

The role of the nurse practitioner (NP) will be showcased November 13 - 19, 2016, as NPs across the country celebrate more than 50 years of practice during National NP Week. In the United States, this distinguished group of health care professionals number approximately 222,000 strong with an additional 20,000 NP students graduating each year.

Fluoroquinolones are broad-spectrum agents which should be considered for use in specific situations. These include infection caused by a multidrug-resistant pathogen for which there is no alternative that is safe and effective, and for situations in which oral fluoroquinolone therapy is an acceptable alternative to parenteral non-fluoroquinolone therapy.  Click here for more information.
