Our PROBUS Club will hold the Annual General Meeting during our regular Members Meeting.  The Management Committee is established at this meeting.  The following is the slate so far:

A NEW SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP IS NOW UP AND RUNNING -
"TED Talks" Review and Discussion Group

What a great way to get to know your fellow PROBUS members!! 

The TED Talks group met in October for the first time.  The topics selected by the designated hosts were How Fear of Nuclear Power is Hurting the Environment and a supplemental topic,Thorium, an Alternative Nuclear Fuel. Thanks to the hosts of both meetings.  PROBUS members who have joined the group will receive an email advising them of the topic for November and the meeting options.  If you are a member of our PROBUS Club and wish to participate in this new Special Interest Group, it is not too late to sign up!  TED

A Special Request from other Members
Some of our members have allergies, are highly sensitive, or just don't care for perfumes and strong aftershaves.  

The Management has been requested to ask members to refrain from wearing fragrances to indoor activities.  This would include Meetings, our Ladies Lunches, even the Christmas Party.

Report on LOST IN YONKERS - You should have been there...  October 28th  


poster Sixteen PROBUS members watched an excellent production of this famous Neil Simon play.  Full of laughter and tears, the play reflected the lives of two teenaged boys and their formidable grandmother in 1942 in Yonkers, New York.  The tiny theatre was packed, but our seats were right on top of the show.  A great night out at the theatre.
