Want to be a Voice for the Animals in Jefferson City?

You can now sponsor a week or even a day of the upcoming Legislative Session and be a Voice for the Animals! The Missouri Legislature will be coming back into session soon and once again the Alliance will be the prominent voice for the animals at our state capitol. Please help us maintain our advocacy efforts on behalf of the animals and consider being a Voice for the Animals for a day or possibly a week!  You can choose a day that has special meaning for you or your animals.

The work of the Alliance is needed now more than ever, to protect animals in the state.

Alliance Responds to Deceptive
Internet Dog Broker

Earlier this month, an internet puppy mill broker by the name of PuppySpot wrote an op-ed piece that was featured in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Under the guise of welfare reform, PuppySpot attempted to shift the blame for animal cruelty in Missouri from puppy mills to animal shelters and rescue organizations.

Alliance executive director Bob Baker responded with a Letter to the Editor which the Post-Dispatch published the following day.

Located on 15 acres next to Castlewood State Park, the Wildlife Rescue Center (WRC) is a non-profit, wildlife rehabilitation center that was founded in 1979 and to date has treated over 75,000 wild creatures.

In addition to rehabilitating injured, sick and orphaned native wildlife and releasing healthy animals back into their natural habitat, WRC also offers educational programs for both children and adults. Volunteers and staff work tirelessly to raise awareness of the biodiversity of our local ecosystems as well as the fragile relationship we have to wild animals and the surrounding environs.

Designed by Vivian Brill

The message of  Peace on Earth and Good Will to All Creatures  is something we animal welfare advocates carry deep within our souls. Graphic designer Vivian Brill has created a unique card for the Alliance and our supporters - a beautiful interpretation of this very sentiment especially for the holiday season (on the inside the card reads "Good Will to All Creatures").

We have the cards packaged as 10 greeting cards for $12, or 20 cards for $22. Only a few sets are left!
