Rabbi's Message
Medically this past year has been, as you know, a challenging one for me. I spent much of my time at Cedars using their pristine and advanced facilities. They took incredible care of me. I was never in want and never had to request unnecessary attention as someone was always at my beck and call.
Throughout I kept on thinking of my family. My wife and two daughters didn't allot me time to feel sorry for myself. When I went to and from the hospital, they took turns driving me. No way were they going to let a slightly damaged Rabbi drive the unsafe streets of West L.A. Actually, they tell me that the streets are safe when I'm not driving.
When at home they didn't let me climb the stairs or walk without me holding on to them. Once home, they would help me to my chair facing the TV and ask if I was hungry. Not for one moment did they leave me alone. Even when I wanted them to.
The reason I am telling this to you, my very special friends, is that it is Thanksgiving and I wanted to express my heart-felt feelings to Jeff, Chelsea and Tess who took such incredible care of me during a down time in my life. They lifted me up and never once let me wallow in my pain and problems.
I am most appreciative and thankful for all the get well cards and phone calls but nothing will ever come close to the special love afforded me by Lady Jeff, Chelsana and Tess. I love you and am one lucky guy to have you in my life.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Joy and health to you all.
Rabbi Jerry Ram Cutler

Arne's Corner
Mazel Tov to our well regarded, well respected, and well known, Rabbi Jerry Ram Cutler who celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, September 26.
The rabbi started all this (the Creative Arts Temple) many years ago, in 1972. It was his idea, his logic, his reasoning. He did the hard labor, the grunt work. With G-d's help he personally took on the negatives, the naysayers. The objective was and is (today) to provide spiritual guidance. A place where Jews can be Jewish, where Jews can find Jewish tradition without the rigors of Orthodoxy. Comedians, writers, producers, directors, actors etc. joined in. The "industry" Jews found a home.
There were and are copycat congregations. But nobody does it better. We have the best High Holiday Services in town, and the price is right. Share your good fortune with friends and relatives. "Newbies" are most welcome.
And one more thing. Have you hugged your Rabbi lately?

Real Estate Tidbit from Lady Jeff Cutler
Q3-2017 Market Climate: Sales Volume for Single-Family Homes
Here are the highest areas of growth:
1. Playa Vista (7 More Homes Sold, 317% Increase)
Playa Vista grew from 3 homes sold in Q3-2016 to 10 homes sold in Q3-2017. While homes aren't moving in large quantity in the area, Play Vista is now the Southern California home of Facebook and YouTube. With millennials steadily growing their income in technology-centric careers, this area won't cool down any time soon.
2. Marina Del Rey (24 More Homes Sold, 119% Increase)
With some of the highest rents in its region, it makes sense that people are eager to buy homes in Marina Del Rey. This area grew from 23 homes sold in Q3-2016 to 47 homes sold in Q3-2017, more than doubling an already sizable quantity sold. Property owners in Marina Del Rey, take heed: sell your properties now, while the market is still hot.
3. West Los Angeles (16 More Homes Sold, 89% Increase)
