National Forum on Wellness in Post-Secondary Education

This culmination of nine years of work will feature several Canadian universities sharing how they have implemented wellness initiatives in their programs, including the Werklund School of Education's groundbreaking course focusing on the wellness of pre-service teachers. Daily Physical Activity
In 2006, Alberta Education instituted a policy of Daily Physical Activity (DPA) to ensure that all students in grades 1-9 would receive a minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity during every school day. But how do you convince the kid that doesn't want to participate in phys. ed. to get that 30 minutes in? Ever Active Schools offers professional learning opportunities for educators, which include exploring creative ways to incorporate DPA on a shoestring budget.
