Habitat Susquehanna started in 1993 with volunteers in Cecil County, and members of the Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union (APGFCU) in Harford County, who separately created Habitat affiliates to give homeownership opportunities to their respective communities. The two Habitats ultimately merged in 2011 to become one organization responsible for the two counties.

November 1st marks the start of our 25th anniversary year -- the date of Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna's incorporation.

We’ve grown to serve over 700 families through our Financial Literacy, Homeownership and Repair programs.

We’re about to complete the 108 th home that we’ve either built or renovated, and almost 500 house repairs for low-income homeowners in Harford and Cecil counties.

We couldn’t have done it without help from volunteers, our Board members, and the business community. They were the backbone of our mission.

Homeownership Applicant Orientation
November 14, 7-8 PM
Learn about the Habitat Homeownership Program at our Applicant Orientation meeting! Doors will open 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting, and we will start promptly on the hour. Please bring your driver's license or photo ID. RSVP to Yvette Valentin at 410-638-4434 ext 1, or yvalentin@habitatsusq.org.

PLEASE NOTE: Space is limited to the first 15 families to respond. You must RSVP in advance to ensure your spot. There will be no childcare for these meetings. If you bring children under the age of 16, you will be asked to reschedule your meeting.

To be considered as a potential homeowner partnering with Habitat, you must apply to the program INTEREST FORM located on our website and attend an applicant orientation meeting.
