Grafton Area Chamber of Commerce Newsletter -November 2018

Set your clocks back one hour Nov 2nd
A Message From Your Chamber President

Bruce McIlnay McIlnay Button Law,LLC
Do your ever wonder if others see you differently than you see yourself?  I guess they do. Really, I want to get that sign and put it out for Halloween.

Thinking about this coming election, I briefly thought about the Who's " Don't Get Fooled Again", the one that ends with " meet the new boss, same as the old boss ."  Too pessimistic I think.  Whatever your persuasion, if you don't vote, you forfeit the right to belly ache about the things going on in our government.  If we would all exercise the important right then you may say, "you've seen the difference and it's getting better all the time." (Modern English).

As for the Chamber, November is so big.  It's huge; just huge: Our Annual Outstanding Citizen Awards Ceremony, Tree Lighting Ceremony, Breakfast with Santa and, of course, the 39th Annual Grafton Christmas Parade.  Our theme this year is "Believe in the Magic."
There are lots of opportunities to contribute your time and/or treasure to make all this happen.  Just let us know how you and your coworkers would like to get involved.

We are also making an effort to increase the listenership of our foray into the broadcast media with our "Get Away to Grafton" podcasts.  While it is fun that we've had listeners from as far away as Germany, it is a really cool way for you to catch up on what's going down and promoting our town.  Check it out on our Website -  Episode 6: Holiday Events, and don't overlook the archive of past episodes.

Blessed Holidays,

Bruce
