Great Benefit To Use During The Holiday Season!
FedEx recently announced that for the second year in a row, it will not apply additional residential surcharges during the holiday season, except for shipments that are oversized, unauthorized or necessitate additional handling. Residential shipments sent with other carriers could incur an additional surcharge during peak days in November and December.

This is good news for NOACC members who expect a significant amount of e-commerce orders over the 2018 holiday season. As a free member benefit, NOACC members have access to exclusive discounts with FedEx. Between the savings through the NOACC Chamber Shipping Program , and avoiding a peak surcharge on residential shipments, members have a clear advantage this holiday season.

If you’re not currently taking advantage of this free member benefit, enroll today . For more information, call PartnerShip at 800-599-2902 or email [email protected] .
The Ohio Chamber Research Foundation is conducting our quarterly economic survey of business leaders in Ohio, called the Prosperity Pulse .

And we need your help! The mission of the foundation is to provide non-partisan, educational resources on public policy issues that impact Ohio’s economy, job creation, and long-term competitiveness. In order to provide such resources, we need to understand the current conditions and future expectations of business in Ohio related to economic conditions, workforce development, regulations and taxes.

This survey will help the Ohio Chamber of Commerce to better serve Ohio businesses. Please click on the button below to take the brief survey.
LOVE IS IN THE AIR!
Congratulations to two of our chamber members who tied the knot on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Toledo, Ohio.

Amy Gladieux, Two Men & A Truck, and Tim O'Brien, Lake County Captains, met while both working for the Captains in 2015. In fact, there is even an article written about them on the Minor League Baseball website! Click here to view article.

We wish Amy & Tim a lifetime of love and happiness!
CONSTANT CONTACT - A CHAMBER BENEFIT
Why do I love using Constant Contact?
I create our monthly newsletters in Constant Contact.
This platform has tons of templates to help you create effective marketing campaigns year round.

Here's the best part of using this program - once I launch an email campaign, I can log in to review valuable data.
I can review:
-How many people opened my email
-What percentage of people viewed my email on a mobile device vs. desktop
-What people clicked on
I use this data to drive future decisions for my marketing.

Also, Constant Contact will send you monthly marketing plans.
If you are as busy as we are, you know how valuable it can be to have your marketing plan created for you.

If you want to learn more about using this for your business, click on the button below!
FAMILY FUN FEST
and the
BEAR OF KINDNESS CAMPAIGN
Chamber members WINT Radio , Kirtland Rehabilitation and Care , and Pat O'Brien Chevrolet have come together to present the Bear of Kindness Campaign. This program collects new teddy bears and stuffed animals for first responders. In times of crisis - fire, domestic violence, and accidents - it can be incredibly calming to provide a child with a furry stuffed friend to hug.

Details for this special event are below:
Date: Wednesday, November 7, 2018
Time: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Location: Kirtland Rehabilitation Center
9685 Chillicothe Road

Activities include a free petting zoo, appetizers, refreshments, and music from 101.5FM.
LOOKING FOR BUSINESS PROPERTY
IN LAKE COUNTY?
All Treats -- No Tricks!
Energy savings can be sweet,
but make sure you avoid these common tricks!
Don't fall for these tricks....
• Rebates – Although it sounds nice to get a rebate check at the end of an energy agreement, we have found that most times customers are paying two to three times the market rate for their electricity or natural gas.
• Introductory Offers – Have you ever thought, “This offer is too good to be true!”? Before signing up, make sure that offer lasts more than a few months. Then check to see if that low rate is going to cover you in the months you are using the most of that utility, otherwise you could wind up overpaying on a monthly variable rate that kicks in after the term of the initial offer comes to an end.
• Early Termination Fees – If you’re already in a contract, you will want to determine what your termination fees will be to move to a new offer. Sometimes it makes more sense to wait or to book a price that starts at the end of your current contract to avoid penalties.

Snatch these treats through your chamber's energy program!
(no costume required)
Savings – Our low fixed rates, offered exclusively to Chamber members, help reduce your budget and are there when you need them most.
• Protection – We do our research and stay up to date to help you make the best decision for your business or home.
• Ongoing Support – We manage your contracts and let you know when your renewal is coming up so that you never move to a variable rate and erode your savings.

We are on your side. To get a quote today, simply email the most recent copy of your electric or natural gas bill to [email protected].
