November 14th Geomatics Presentation at Highland High School
Members of USofAZ presented 'Land Surveying 101' to over 300 high school students. The presentation was well received and the group received an invitation to return in the Spring Semester & to participate in the STEM days. Michael Banta, Scott Spears, Phil Fedor, Ryan Kelly, Dana Klett, and Kent Akbay Over 100 of the students signed up to take the Trig-Star exam. To volunteer for the next 'Land Surveying 101' classes, please contact Kent Groh.

USofAZ Board Change
Steve McLain recently stepped down to focus on his growing business. We wish him well.
Please welcome Mary Darling to our USofAZ Board as our new representative from Southern Arizona.
She is the principal owner of Darling Geomatics ( ) a high tech global land surveying company that specializes in the use of LiDAR, drones, laser trackers and other high tech survey equipment to provide customers the best tools for their survey needs. Mary runs the financial, sales and marketing, HR and environmental portions of her company. Her husband, Richard Darling, RLS, runs the surveying, UAV, and 3D aspects of the business. Mary is an FAA licensed UAV pilot, accomplished in flying quadcopters for thermal imaging of rooftops, vegetative mapping and commercial photography.
Mary is a great addition to the leadership team and we look forward to sharing her wisdom and expertise.

We had another successful day for the future of our profession! On October 27th
volunteers worked with 20 scouts at Kennedy Regional Park in Tucson, AZ to get their Survey Merit Badges.
