Toy Sale Cancelled
In light of the host of events taking place during the month of November, the Vestry of Christ Church has decided against hosting the annual Toy Sale this year.
Those who wish to donate a new toy to help local children and families in need are invited to donate to the Season of Hope Toy Drive coordinated by Project Self-Sufficiency and its partnering agencies. New, unwrapped items for infants, children and teens will be gratefully received at Project Self-Sufficiency, 127 Mill Street, in Newton through December 18th. Monetary donation s are also welcome.
The Season of Hope Toy Drive serves children in the New Jersey counties of Sussex, Northern Warren and Northern Morris. Families must register in advance to receive toys; approximately 3,000 children will be served this year.
Donations are greatly needed as the number of children served by the Season of Hope Toy Shop continues to grow, but donations from the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots program will be reduced due to need elsewhere in their service region.
