OUR THANKFUL EDITION

We Are Thankful For Our Volunteers
We are most thankful for all the mentors who chose to volunteer with us. Currently, we have volunteer needs in North and South Fulton and Gwinnett area schools. For information - reach out to AshleyK@standupforkids.org
to learn how you can become a mentor in 2020!

AND Thankful for New Programs Starting

This semester the mentoring program launched at Alpharetta High School. We will be starting 3 new programs next year!! What kids say about mentoring:

"I learned adults and students can just talk to each other about pretty much anything. I appreciate my mentor listening to me and my problems. I learned opening up to certain people can be rewarding and make your life easier. I appreciate the help that I was given."
We Are Thankful for Volunteers on The Streets
This Is Us...This is where we go. Just know we are out there Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 9:00. For 15 years straight...no breaks in service for over 780 weeks...and counting!
AND Very Thankful to Cirque du Soleil!
Huge thanks to Cirque du Soleil " Volta " for a wonderful evening out. One of our kids was overheard talking to another and said "I don't remember the last time I've done something like this." and the other kid replied "I've never done something like this."...until now!!!
And Of Course , Thankful for Resource Providers
THANK YOU KLOECKNER METALS – Kloeckner not only did a coat drive for Atlanta, but also reached out to our Chicago and Houston locations to coordinate drives for those chapters. Thanks for partnering with us -
far and wide!
AND Thankful for Social Workers and Counselors
From: School Social Worker

"I just heard from one of our homeless mothers. She was so thankful for the mentors. She said her daughter looks forward to seeing her mentor and enjoys the lunches."

Thanks for all that you are doing for our kids!
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...
WE ARE THANKFUL FOR ALL OF YOU WHO STAY IN CONTACT WITH US!
