Northwoods Book Arts Guild
Sunday, November 17
NBG Studio

It's that time of year again! The Guild's Annual Meeting is a festive time to gather with fellow book artists and celebrate another year of Guild activities. This year's program will feature some familiar - and some new - activities:
  • Election of NBG Officers - to keep us active and organized!
  • Auction - dedicated to book arts items, always amazing!
  • Membership signup and renewal - join us for 2020!
  • Preview of Morris Thompson bazaar items - bring your samples!
  • Refreshments - cider and cookies for all!
  • What's new for NBG 2020?? - be the first to know!
  • Holiday Card Exchange - always a pleasure! (and it's optional)
Books, book art tools and supplies, papers, artwork -
anything you think another book artist would love!
Don't forget the "Scarf Emporium" - scarves you've worn, loved,
and ready to pass along!
(Every book  artist needs a great collection of scarves!)
Drop off items at the studio Saturday, Nov. 16, 1-3pm

New Display!
UAF Rasmuson Library
from Art of the Fold by Hedi Kyle

Although the simple accordion is not a complicated structure, Hedi Kyle, in her book, "The Art of the Fold," focuses on it for its versatility and endless possibilities.  At a recent meeting of the Northwoods Book Arts Guild, members explored variations of this fold with results that ranged from graphic and informational to whimsical and comic. Thanks to Connie Stricks and Mary Maisch for this display of models inspired by Art of the Fold.
