How long has Booz Allen Hamilton been in the community?
Booz Allen was founded in 1914, and we began serving the U.S. government by advising the Secretary of the Navy in preparation for World War II in 1940. Our 105-year heritage of applying disruptive innovation to solve the toughest problems can be seen in our Huntsville office, where we’ve been supporting the Army for more than 65 years.
What are Booz Allen Hamilton's core values & how does the partnership with LGH reflect these values?
Booz Allen’s purpose is to empower people to change the world, with values that serve as the bedrock of how we treat our employees and clients: Unflinching Courage, Passionate Service, Champion’s Heart, Collective Ingenuity and Ferocious Integrity. Our purpose and values align with LGH’s mission to build a better community through education and connection – with a focus on fostering a culture of inclusion, respect and opportunity.
What is one thing Booz Allen Hamilton l is up to in the coming months that people should know about?
In November, we’re hosting a roadshow of our Digital Soldier technology in our Huntsville office. This internal investment demonstrates our digital engineering capabilities, and is a tech agnostic, open-source platform focused on utilizing human performance technology to improve the soldier experience across their mission lifecycle – and ensure they come home to their families.
Over the next several months, Booz Allen will also provide a pro bono team of data science and data analytics experts for this year’s Data Science Bowl. In partnership with PBS, these experts will work on creating an algorithm that helps create a more equitable playing field for early childhood education. It is anticipated that findings generated through this project could have broad impact to benefit the larger Huntsville/Madison County school districts.
You’ll also see our 200+ employees active in Huntsville this holiday season, with teams of volunteers serving Kids2Love, sponsoring an Angel Tree, serving meals at the Downtown Rescue Mission, collecting Toys for Tots and supporting rebuilding projects for the shelters program at Lincoln Village Ministry.
