Angela Continues to Pursue Her Goals
Angela is a single mother of two and has been a participant in our Step Up Sacramento Permanent Supportive Housing Program for almost two years. Along the way, she has worked towards healing from previous traumas and navigating adversities in life.

Recently, Angela decided to go back to school to major in Human Services. Angela has been continuing to experience success with her studies, which she says has been a positive influence for her children.

Volunteer Spotlight
We are so appreciative of the work of our Family Shelter volunteer, Rachel! Rachel has a passion for music, and shared this passion with our Youth Services program.

Youth got the opportunity to learn about the parts of a guitar, the different chords, and how to play songs such as "Happy Birthday" and "The Itsy, Bitsy Spider." Rachel hopes that this lesson inspires youth to take up an interest in music.

Thank you for your service to the Family Shelter!
Give Back this Holiday Season by Supporting our Adopt-a-Family Program.
Looking to give back over the holidays? Contact us to learn how you can participate in our 2019 Adopt-a-Family program! We work with both individuals and groups and match you up to adopt families in our Family Shelter and Permanent Supportive Housing programs.

We also have a need for holiday hygiene kits for our single adult and senior clients. Send us an email if you would like more information on how you can support our adult clients.
Life Skills Course Graduation
We are so proud of our Permanent Supportive Housing clients for completing our Life Skills course! Throughout the year, clients participated in six different sections and learned skills such as life planning, self-care, setting priorities, communication, and conflict management.

To celebrate, the eleven clients who completed the course attended a graduation and received certificates of completion.
