West Louisville Now
$10,000 Matching Gift Announced
We are excited to announce that a member of the diocese has generously offered to match up to $10,000 in new donations to the West Louisville Now appeal between now and the end of November.
This gift and challenge are a symbol of this faithful donor's study to more fully understand Kentucky's history of slavery and the role of the donor's family in that history. The gift is a recognition that, in the donor's words, "many families in our diocese, like my own, have Kentucky ancestors who owned slaves in the mid-19th century and benefitted from that injustice."
The West Louisville Now fund provides financial support for essential repairs to the buildings of two congregations in predominantly black neighborhoods of West Louisville. 60% of the $200,000 goal has been raised so far.
Our donor invites you to prayerfully consider your own gift: "Please join me with a contribution in support of the plan for improving the facilities of St. George's and Our Merciful Saviour as they continue the essential work of serving their neighborhoods today and into the future."

All Saints
We so missed having visitors and campers at All Saints this year. Bill Beam, our Managing Director and the Board have been working hard to solidify our financial footing and have been busy planning for the joyful day when we can welcome everyone back to All Saints. We are in the early stages of bringing a permanent walking labyrinth to the upper campus and adding a disc golf course and hiking trails for our guests to enjoy. The Community of Hope International Webinar
The Community of Hope International (COHI) webinar, Dealing with Loss and Grief in the Midst of a Pandemic, will be held on Wednesday, December 2 from 12 noon - 1 pm ET, produced in collaboration with ECF. Three COHI chaplains will discuss the challenges of the 2020 holiday season and possible interventions through science, faith, and Benedictine Spirituality. Click here for details. |

Journeying the Way of Love Advent Season
For the season of Advent, Journeying the Way of Love offers four sessions to be explored as we await the coming of Christ by moving through the first two chapters of the Gospel of Luke. Luke’s gospel provides a pattern for understanding how we can live the Way of Love as individuals, as families and friends, as a community, and out in the world. The sessions are specially designed for use during the Christian formation hour before or after worship. Facilitation instructions accommodate small or large groups. However, this curriculum may be adapted for private devotional use.

CEEP 2021 Digital Annual Conference
The CEEP Network Announces its 2021 Digital Annual Conference March 3 – 5, 2021. Archbishop of Canterbury and Presiding Bishop addresses to highlight the conference. The theme for the conference is "For A Time Such as This: The Church as Witness."

The Rev. Anne Vouga Richter has been called to serve as Rector of St. Ambrose Episcopal Church in Boulder, Colorado. She previously served as Associate Rector at St. Andrew’s, Louisville and Rector of St. Thomas, Louisville, as well as many other diocesan positions. |
|
The Rev. John Heidel has been called to serve as Priest-in-Charge of St. Mary’s, Madisonville. He currently resides in Sacramento, California. |
|
The Rev. Jim Wilkinson has been called to serve as Priest-in-Charge of Church of the Ascension, Bardstown. Fr. Wilkinson also serves as Historiographer of the diocese. |
|
The Rev. Deacon Charles Halton has transferred to the Diocese of Lexington, where he has been called to work on digital formation opportunities. |
|
The Diocesan Staff will begin Thanksgiving break starting mid-afternoon on Wednesday, November 25th. We will return to work on Monday, November 30th. |
|
