NBA Draft Features COP Alum

For five dozen young men, dreams came true Wednesday night at the annual NBA Draft. Those basketball players are now part of an exclusive group and are among the best players in the world. Many of those chosen splashed onto the national scene right here in Fort Myers at the Culligan City of Palms Classic, including No. 3 pick LaMelo Ball, who is going to Charlotte Hornets.

Ball is Life Preseason Top 20 Features an Abundance of COP Teams

High school gyms across the country have begun to ring out with the sounds of basketballs bouncing. As football season winds down, hoops hysteria is picking up, and that means teams across the country will soon be vying to see who is the best. Ball is Life recently released their Preseason Top 20 and many of the teams that were scheduled to make an appearance here in Fort Myers at the Culligan City of Palms Classic are on that list.

Despite no COP this Year, SWFL Still Bringing Great Basketball to the Region

Hoops fans needn’t worry that the Culligan City of Palms Classic has been cancelled for 2020. Great basketball action is still on its way to Southwest Florida and the Suncoast Credit Union Arena. The Fort Myers Tip-Off Classic is coming to town this week for a two-day feast with some of college basketball’s elite teams. Gonzaga, the nation’s No. 1 team in the AP Preseason Top 25 will make their debut at the Tip-Off Classic along with one of college basketball’s blue bloods, preseason No. 6 Kansas.
