Celebration from October!
Celebrating Manufacturing Month!
During the month of October, Manufacturing Month, the Chamber featured a series of videos about various specialties within manufacturing fields such as plastics, packaging, food processing, chemicals, and fabrication. Throughout the month, the Chamber featured local manufacturers who provided behind the scenes looks at their facilities and an overview of job opportunities, required skills, and advancement opportunities within their organizations that was shared with District 303 middle school and high school students, their parents, students at Elgin Community College, and the Community at large! We also hosted a Panel discussion on 10/28 with leaders of the industry to share their insights and expertise. Please take a look at our Manufacturing Page for insights, and check out the recording of our introductory video + the panel for a great look into this prevalent industry!

Legislative Feature
The Legislative Committee hosted the City Update with Mayor Rogina and Alderman Dan Stellato on October 5th at the Hilton Garden Inn. This hybrid event had both in-person and virtual options. Those who attended in person were provided with social-distancing bracelets, lunch, and the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session. Virtual attendees were given a link to watch a live feed on Zoom with the ability to submit questions to Mayor Rogina and Alderman Stellato. Topics of this event included the current status of Charlestown Mall, Pheasant Run Resort, Covid-19 relief efforts, and more. This year was bittersweet as it was Mayor Rogina’s last year in office. The St. Charles Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Mayor Rogina for his participation in this annual event!
