We Want to Feature Your Local Business in Style
open to small businesses, locally owned who haven’t been featured in our Introducing section within the past two years.

It’s easy — just an investment of the business owner’s time to complete the online form — then, once complete, it will go in the queue and when the time is ready in the queue, we’ll contact the business owner to set up a time to come and take their photo, and then they’ll be featured in print and on our website!

Is It Time to Move to Assisted Living?
The choice to move to assisted living is as individual as the person making the decision. There is no clear cut, step-by-step template that tells people exactly when its time to concider assisted living as a long-term care option.

However, certain situations and signs may indicate it might be time to consider alternative living arrangements. Gernerally speaking, families and their older loved ones begin to consider when it becomes difficult for the older adult to carry on with important activities of daily living without significant support and assistance from others. Some of the challenges people can face as they age include:

  • Loss of vision
  • Poor Balance
  • Memory Loss/Forgettfulness
  • Fatigue
  • Lonliness
  • Dementia
  • Physician Prescribed

Perhaps the best advise is to follow your heart to know exactly when it is time for you and your loved one to make the transition. Change is rarely easy for anyone. The good news is that most older adults, once they weather the upheaval of transition, report that assisted living has offered them enhanced quality of life.
