Message from the Director - November 2020
To my fellow veterans, families, and veteran advocates:

In 2020, we've had to modify many veterans ceremonies in the interest of safety. Unfortunately, this included cancelling the wonderful Southern Nevada Veterans Day celebration held for over a decade at the Southern Nevada State Veterans Home.  In lieu of this in-person event, NDVS is celebrating with veterans and their families across the State with the release of a State of Nevada Veterans Day video. It will be unveiled the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 11 on the NDVS YouTube Channel, the NDVS website, and posted on our social media pages.

Notice for Veterans and Economic Impact Payments
Under the CARES Act, most individuals didn't have to do anything in order to receive their stimulus check. However certain individuals, to include some Veterans, needed to provide the IRS with information in order to receive these payments. The deadline to do this and still receive a check is November 21! The individuals who must undergo this additional step include those receiving Disability Compensation, Survivors Benefits, or Pensions from the Veterans Administration.

It is a quick (but necessary) process in order to receive the stimulus check.
Pahrump Banner Program

(Pahrump) - Three years ago Nye County commissioners voted to honor military veterans who resided within the boundaries of its local cities. But it took more than that vote to make the honors possible. It sought and gained approval from the Nye County Veterans Services Fund, as well as the Veterans Finance Committee.
