29th Annual Kelly Murphy Golf Fundraiser Wrap Up
Thank you to all the players and sponsors of the 29th Annual Kelly Murphy Golf Fundraiser. There were over 130 golfers and attendees at the event on a beautiful, sunny November day. We're glad tropical storm ETA decided not to stay! This was our first in-person BAMA event since March. While we had to adjust the format of the lunch to provide outdoor seating, social distancing and personal protection equipment, we had the opportunity to spend time visiting with our players and enjoyed meeting new friends of the Association.

Our conversations with members were especially helpful as we think about the manner BAMA can support its members during these difficult times. These conversations first reinforced that members are continuously evaluating all aspects of their operations, evaluating expenditures, and looking for ways to cut expenses. At the same time, member companies told us that by changing their business practices such as reducing travel and working virtually, there is a greater need for BAMA activities such as limited in-person events, webinars, training and other activities in which members can engage with other BAMA members.

Thank you to our sponsors and those companies that provided items for our gift bags and baskets.

Thank you to the staff of TPC Tampa Bay who have hosted the BAMA golf fundraiser for the last two years. The staff is outstanding to work with and the course offers an exceptional player experience. This year, the staff’s expertise really was helpful as the rules for player play changed several times.

Thank you to the golf committee, Megan Meiers, Hildie Haviland, Jason Lichtenstein, Brad Waldron, Alush Garzon Jeff Cole and Joy Gauvin for organizing this tournament. It takes an incredible amount of organization and planning to pull off any golf tournament but organizing a tournament with changing public health requirements was a unique challenge. Thank you to the volunteers who took the time to be there the day of to help run the event. The TV prank was priceless!
Thank you again for participating. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
