Pearland ISD received an "A" rating according to Niche ratings and ranked 4th in the Houston metro area for excellent academics and student culture in the 2021 Niche ratings. Additionally, the district is ranked No. 33 out of 1,018 Texas school districts.

Berry Miller Junior High principal Tony Barcelona and Roger Middle School principal Adjunta Thomas were recently recognized with the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Distinguished Administrator Award for being instrumental in preserving quality music education programs on their campuses and district.
