Advocacy Around Vaccine Mandate

The U.S. Department of Labor’s OSHA sent its Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) on the vaccine mandate for large employers (those with 100 or more employees) to the White House Office of Management and Budget for review. Since Vermont has a state plan, the Vermont Chamber is advocating for three important requests.

Urge Congress to Replenish RRF

Vermont restaurants are facing a long road to recovery and struggling to find workers, with industry employment still down nearly 7% from pre-pandemic levels. The Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) provided some relief but there’s at least $120 million in unmet need.

VFP Welcomes New Board Members & Turns 5 Years Old 

The Vermont Futures Project is excited to announce new Board Members while celebrating turning five years old. The organization was formally launched by the Vermont Chamber in 2016 as a research and education foundation to help lead economic prosperity for all Vermonters. SBA Processing EIDL Applications Now

The SBA began processing applications for additional loans of up to $2 million per property through its Economic Injury Disaster Loan program on October 8. They shared tips based on different loan scenarios, which we collected here.

Darn Tough Opens Second Knitting Facility

Our member Darn Tough held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of their second knitting facility in Waterbury, Vermont. Vermont Chamber Membership Engagement Director Sophia Yager attended the special ceremony.
