It's going to be a great event !

Dear Council of 101 members,
 
Love for each other and devotion to Council of 101 has never shone brighter than it has making Festival of Trees 2021, a Sparkling Holiday Tradition. I am truly grateful for the countless hours and collaborative effort put forth for our event that opens this week. I hope to see you all at the Opening Night Gala. I will make sure a ticket is available for every member to purchase.

As I have served as your president this year, I have witnessed members helping each other to realize shared visions for their committee areas, expressing new ideas and consultation with past chairs and creative new ways for serving others through hospitality. Giving thanks has been a constant theme through this lovely group. As the Festival comes to a close, we will officially be in week of Thanksgiving.

FESTIVAL OF TREES
The purchase of all tickets on the Councilof101.org will be applied towards your membership obligation.

The 2021 Membership Obligation for Festival of Trees is $150 for Actives and Provisionals, and $100 for Associates.

GSENIOR'S DAY GIFT CARDS NEEDED

Seniors’ Day this year will be on Tuesday November 16th! We will have 2 groups of entertainers and a Trivia game. The seniors LOVE this and get prizes for the correct answers to fun questions. 

We need your help in gathering gift cards for the winners from Publix, Target or from your favorite restaurant! Please drop off at the Council of 101 office in the decorated box !

MARKETING AND MEDIA

The countdown is on for the opening to the 35th annual Festival of Trees! To brief you about events, key sponsors, the preferred marketing hashtag for social media and more, click on the link here. Ugly Holiday Sweater Day is back and slated for Saturday, November 20th. Please play a part in this festive occasion! Dress out with the most festive holiday attire on this day and add to this sparkling holiday tradition. Snap some photos with friends and family, on site at the museum, and post to social media, and add a hashtag: #festivaloftreesorlando. Let's show our holiday spirit and spread the word!

Media Day is Thursday, November 11th, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and, to date, over 10 representatives have responded to visit for a walk through and an early preview. If you're participating with set up on that date, we encourage you to wear a festive holiday sweater or bring one and wear it during the specified hours of Media Day. For questions about marketing and media activities and initiatives please email Carla Bray at [email protected].

Floral designer Christine Girand will share floral design basics to help us prepare for the holidays.

Enjoy lunch in the OMA studio and leave with your own lovely seasonal arrangement. Box lunch and all materials provided.
