Hello Chamber Members,
What a beautiful time of the year that’s approaching. As I write this note to you all I can hear are the melodious drops of rain on my roof, and feel the bite of the cool, fall air when I walk outside. This time of year, is always a promise of new growth and life in my eyes as we see the greenery from summer change to vibrant fall shades before hibernating under a blanket of snow through the winter to emerge bigger, stronger, and more wonderful than before.
Much like the seasons change, your Chamber changes as the year progresses to grow bigger, stronger, and even more wonderful than the previous year! We take each event we host or attend and learn so we can grow and provide more value to our members. While we may not have been able to host as many events that we have hosted in the past. We were still able to learn and grown from the events we were able to provide. The Chamber staff and Board members are already deep into planning new, exciting events for 2022, and we can’t wait to see what you all think.
Join us November 5th, for the 2021 Women in Business Conference hosted by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce at Elements in Naperville. Pre-registration information is available on the Lisle Area Chamber site. Join us on November 11th starting at 4:30pm for a Ribbon Cutting at Sebold Capital Management in Lisle. Full information can be found on the Chamber website. Also, don’t forget about our Multi-Chamber Virtual Network event on November 16th from 12:00pm – 1:30pm. Registration is available on the Chamber website.
The timeless Lisle tradition of ‘The Turkey Trot Tune-Up 5K’ is returning for another year of family health, fitness, and FUN! Dust off those running shoes and get movin’ with us on Sunday, November 21st. Registration starts at 7:30am with the race starting at 9am. Registration can be completed online for a pre-registration discount on the chamber website. I hope to see you all at the 5k!

It’s November so it is time to bring back our Turkey Trot Tune Up 5K on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, November 21, 2021 at beautiful Lisle Community Park. Look for your ballot in your email to vote for two new Board of Directors for your Lisle Area Chamber Board. We have two Members that are very qualified to join your Chamber Board. Debbie Pawlowicz of DPG Realty and Elizabeth Carey of Sharing Connections. Both have a strong business background and they will bring their knowledge and experience to our Board. Please return your ballots by November 19th via email or mail. If you have any questions about the Chamber's Board of Directors, please contact me and I would be happy to discuss your Chamber Board.
The Board of Directors and I will be preparing the Annual budget and events for 2022. As we review we will be bringing back some favorite events as well as some new events. We are asking you our Members for suggestions of what you would like to us to bring back and any ideas you may have for new speakers, luncheons, events, Ribbon Cuttings and Business After Hours or maybe even a Business Before Hours. I would like to mention a few of our upcoming events for the end of 2021. Sebold Capital Management will be holding their Open House and Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, November 11th from 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm with ribbon cutting taking place at 5:15 pm. We will be holding our first ever hybrid Annual Meeting to be held December 16th at Four Lakes Recreation and on Zoom. Please keep an eye out for details on how to register for that event. Also as I had mentioned before, we have out Turkey Trot Tune-Up 5K coming up soon, so you get your running shoes ready.

Tom Reif of GCG Financial, LLC is this month's featured Ambassador. Tom has been a Lisle Area Chamber member for 11 years and has worked on numerous Committees in addition to the Ambassador Committee. He is the Chair of the Ale Fest Committee and is also on the Dinner Dance and Golf Committees. Tom is a Chamber Board of Director and has also been a past Chairman of the Chamber Board.
Tom is a Senior Benefits Consultant with GCG Financial, LLC. He sells Benefits to companies that include Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Short and Long Term Disability, Buy Sell agreements and Key man policies. Tom has been in this field for 31 years.
Tom lives in Naperville and has 23 year old triples, 2 boys and a girl. He enjoys working out, playing golf and visiting and hanging out with his kids. He enjoys being an Ambassador because he likes meeting poeple. He has made a few really nice sales from it as well. His favorite quote is by Williams Johnson, "If it is to be, it is up to me."

All ages are welcome! This free event has become a holiday tradition in Lisle featuring old-fashioned holiday fun for the entire family! This event is in conjunction with the Village of Lisle Santa Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony.
FREE PARKING is available at Village Hall and in the commuter parking lots.
