Dear CIM students and friends,

November is all about giving thanks, and at the Center for Irish Music, the thing we're most grateful for is YOU! Whether you are involved as a student, donor, volunteer, or friend, you have made it possible for us to hand down the tradition even as the world around us continues to change. In the past year, your support helped us:

  • Connect 482 students with 24 local and remote teaching artists through lessons, classes, and workshops.
  • Launch a brand new 2021 Common Repertoire AND host Common Tunes Sessions that helped 57 students stay connected with the community
  • Connect with 113 out-of-state students, from 32 states and 4 different countries!
  • Put 28 hard-to-find traditional instruments (including 5 sets of uilleann pipes!) in the hands of students through our instrument rental program
  • Provide over $12,000 in scholarships and financial aid
  • ... and much more!

We're in the midst of our annual fall drive, so keep an eye out on social media for videos, photos and testimonials from our students. Give to the Max Day (the "Great Minnesota Give Together") is November 18th, and we hope you'll join us for a small but mighty in-person session from 12-1:00pm. Bring a lunch and beverage and enjoy a few tunes with friends. And of course, if you are able, please consider supporting our work with a donation. A gift in any amount makes a difference!

Finally, be sure to mark your calendars for all of our upcoming events, including our virtual Volunteer Thank You Party (November 12th), Youth Ensemble Concert (November 20th), and much more. Watch your email and follow our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts for the latest CIM news and event updates.
