Typically when interest rates fall it's because the economy is weak and the housing demand is low. However, incomes are strong right now as homebuyers have mostly kept their jobs plus have received stimulus payments. Interest rates have dropped but incomes are strong. Also, mortgage underwriting standards have not dropped like they did in the early 2000s and we are not building too many houses relative to demand.

As restrictions ease and we return to normal driving patterns, claims continue to rise. Some customers may face higher auto insurance rates in 2022 with the surging vehicle repair and replacement costs.
