Cosmology of Light Newsletter

Hello Friends,

The advent of the Quantum Computing Industry is a milestone in human history. It is the first time that modern technology is systematically attempting to penetrate the quantum realms with the purpose of leveraging it's dynamics to create practical devices. But the quantum realm is like none other, and what could make this milestone momentous is that the quantum realm is the meeting ground of the visible and the invisible.

For this to succeed will require a radically different ecosystem than exists today. To start with R&D needs to expand beyond the notion that the quantum realm is a random blackbox that therefore can only be understood through the application of probability and statistics. This one-sided focus is creating a massive bubble as I alluded to in the October Newsletter, and which I also focus on in the highlighted article below, part of a Forbes series aimed at creating a more successful quantum ecosystem.

Note that in January of 2023 I am partnering with Forbes to offer a "Managing the Quantum Bubble' event, the first of such events focused also, on creating the right quantum ecosystem.

Best Wishes,

Pravir

Forbes Article: Managing the Quantum Bubble

Managing the Quantum Bubble makes that point that if the cornerstones of quantum computation - probability, superposition and entanglement - work differently than imagined then the very basis of what is considered to be the foundation of building a probabilistic quantum computer is called into question.

If all hardware and software efforts and all conceived quantum-based applications are driven by the commonly accepted interpretation of quantum dynamics, then nothing that is actively being projected these days is going to work since the quantum computer is not going to imitate nature.

Therefore, it becomes important to understand the application claims of quantum computers and the rationale of the hardware and software that is going to drive the applications. This could circumvent a lot of future heartaches.

Forbes Article: The Potential Impact of Quantum-Level Dynamics on HR

The Potential Impact of Quantum-Level Dynamics on Human Resources highlights the much publicized dynamics of superposition and entanglement.

Superposition can be thought of as a variable or possibility at the quantum level having an infinite number of hidden states, of which one becomes materially real when meaningfully probed into. Entanglement can be thought of as the deep linking of two possibilities or states at the quantum level so that now one instantaneously influences the other, even without any need for visible communication.

These phenomena are beginning to make that which was considered invisible and magical, visible and understandable. Further, the fact that phenomena such as superposition and entanglement are already part of nature means that they can possibly be leveraged now, even without access to quantum technologies. Hence, HR can make quantum leaps even without access to quantum computing technology.
