Wow, the weather sure did turn cold in a hurry! We hope you are all staying warm!


Thanksgiving is only a day away and while many of us are busy getting ready for the Holiday Season, their are many less fortunate than others who are struggling. If you know anyone who is looking for help, please reach out and we can put you in touch with some orginazations that can offer assistance.


There will be Freeport Toys for Tots boxs, placed in many locations to collect donations. If you would like a box at your place of business, please let us know so we can arrange this.


Congratulations to Jorge Martinez for being the Freeport Businessperson of the year at the NCCC Legislative Breakfast.


Our last Chamber luncheon was a huge success! Our speaker was Herbert Eric Schramm of Big Brothers Big Sisters who talked about the need for mentors for our teens and young adults on Long Island. If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please call the Chamber office and I will put you in touch with them.


Thank you to Hibiscus on the Mile for an amazingly delicious lunch.

The Halloween Parade was one of the best we ever had. It truly was a family affair. The weather was perfect and everyone had a fabulous time.


A special ribbon cutting ceremony was held last week at the Bishop Frank O. White Memorial Park/Northeast Park in Freeport.

Joe Higgins Boxing Gym was officially opened and launched for business. Freeport Mayor Kennedy, the Board of Trustees and the Freeport Chamber of Commerce thanked and congratulated Joe Higgins for his commitment investing in Freeport.



Our next luncheon is scheduled for December 13th at Platinum Cuisine. Our speakers will be Leah Hartofelis of Breathe N Flow Yoga and Ava Donaldson of Fit4Life Studios, Inc. They will give us some great tools, techniques and stratgies on how to stay healthy, fit and reduce stress for the holidays and New Year. You won't want to miss this one!

Check out the member of the month Hungerford & Clark. They recently took over the existing business and property and are keeping an 80 year old tradition of service and caring going in the Freeport Community.
