NACMS NEWSLETTER
November 2022
The holiday season is upon us and NACMS is ready. Keep scrolling to discover Advent Marian meditations for your prayerful reflection, a link to "The Best of Quest" a lectionary-based resource for your faith community, and news about changes to our bookstore.

We are also excited to announce "NACMS focuses on the Magnifcat." Beginning in January of 2023 we will be offering a series of speakers and programs looking at the Magnificat through a Marianist lens. Details below.
Advent begins on Sunday, November 27. We invite you to listen to our short meditations on one aspect of Mary's life related to Advent. The first episode is about the Annunciation. We hope you can pray with this podcast, perhaps as a new prayer practice for Advent. Each podcast features a Scripture reading, reflection questions, and soothing music to lead you deeper into prayer.
Subsequent podcast meditations reflect on the Immaculate Conception, the Visitation, and the Nativity. Click here to find the links to each meditation.
"The Best of Quest" is a lectionary-based resource for use by small Christian communities. Drawing upon a rich corpus of almost 30 years from "Quest," a publication produced by the Archdiocese of Hartford, this installment of "The Best of Quest" focuses on Liturgical Year A.
Quest users will want to be alert to the fact that not every Liturgical week, feast or solemnity that appears here occurs in every Calendar year. Consultation with the Liturgical Calendar for a given Calendar year is advised. Click here to read or download specific units.
Prices on several popular items in the NACMS Bookstore will increase on January 1, 2023. Looking for Christmas presents? Click here to order and beat the increase.
Registration forms will be available in December.

Heavenly Creator, we come to you today with grateful hearts, recognizing the many gifts you’ve given us that have allowed for this special time to come together. Still, we acknowledge our sadness that our gathering today feels incomplete. We lift up to you our dearly departed, and ask you to bless them as you bless us. We’re comforted by the promise of your Kingdom and look forward to one day sharing together in a heavenly feast with all those who are not with us today.
In your name, we pray. Amen.
